05/13/10 - HighWycombe
We’re hangin backstage, waiting to play at the Bucks Student Center in HighWycombe tonight. The drive here was a little terrifying (and I’m only kinda blaming that on Hoffman). The show last night in Norwich ended up being a lot of fun after a slow start to the set. We’ve had a great time hangin out with Chiddy Bang thus far.
I washed my clothes in the bathtub last night for the first time ever. We were only allowed to bring a small dufflebag of clothes for 3 weeks of tour in England, and since I sweat through an outfit a night, I’m having to handwash everything every other night. My socks are still in the process of drying. What fun.
Oh the many fears I have. Lately I’ve been on this whole “conquer your fears” kick. So, while we were in New Orleans touring around a few of us popped into a voodoo museum. After we walked through there was a different gentleman sitting behind the desk and in his hand was a baby python. Deathly afraid of snakes, I asked to hold little baby 4 month old sam. He was the cutest ol thing! Now we are driving through the desert where apparently there are tons of snakes to be afraid of…. I’ve got a little experience under my belt so I should be better off than any of these other bitches ;) BAM.
Hey everyone. Almost one year ago, we lost a very dear friend of ours, Bonnie Hyunh to complications during childbirth, most likely due to her Lupus, an autoimmune disease. She was diagnosed with this disease many years ago, and was a huge advocate for the cause. Every year, The Lupus Foundation of America-Georgia Chapter has their annual walk for Lupus to raise money and awareness to hopefully one day find a cure for this disease. This year, they will be walking in Piedmont Park in Atlanta on May 8. All of Bonnie’s friends and family are carrying on her team name “Bonnies Hot Mess” and are continuing to raise awareness and money for the cause. The Constellations won’t be able to attend this year, but follow this link to find out how you can sign up to be a part of it, or just donate to help them raise their goal, even if you’re not in Atlanta. The cause is very near and dear to our hearts so check it out! Thanks! Xoxo The Constellations
Jagermeister is always one of those shots I never order for myself, but everyone always orders for me. I enjoy it ,but it seems I forget that once I lean into the bar and start picking the players for the evening. It’s a mental thing you see. Relating to what exactly I couldnt tell you. Maybe it’s because someone told me the original recipe called for deers blood. I could see that being tasty and all but wouldn’t it go bad? I guess that might be why it’s served cold or why it has that thick syrupy consistency. Yeah didnt want to lose that. Or maybe I relate it to all the gutter punks that spare change all day ,just to blow it all on four shots at the highlander and a game of pool. I don’t really know what it is. It’s never really done me wrong.I may complain a little when some frat boy in a visor and boat shoes, brings a round to the stage but secretly I love the shit. By the way anyone bringing shots to the stage is my hero, visor and all. But still somthing throws me a little when I lift that Dixie cup to my nose and breath in that smell that could only be one thing. I shrug my shoulders and tilt my head back and let it fall down my throat. I take a drag from my cigarette to chase it and I don’t regret a thing. Deers blood really?
